My original problems consisted of chronic hamstring, calf, and knee pain/injuries that limited my running to 2-3 miles 1-2 times per week. I then tore my right hamstring twice over the years and figured that it was too weak to ever run regularly again.

John's previous treatment- Physical therapy, needle insterted into hamstring to break up scar tissue, massage, mixing running with walking.

What Glen Oaks has done for John- In June 2009, I started seeing Dr.Kemenosh for Active Release Therapy. Immediately after starting the treatments I was able to start running 10-12 miles per week on a consistent basis for the first time in years. Over the past 15 months- I've progressed from running 10 miles per week to 20-30 miles per week injury/pain free. My running has progressed from short slow run to now 60-70 minute long runs, track workouts, and racing.

What Improvements have occured- In addition to performing ART, Dr. Kemenosh has showed me new stretching (dynamic) techniques and tools that are working great for me as preventative maintenance and an easy fix for small pains that pop up. Also, running regularly (and re-working my eating habits) has enabled me to lose 25 lbs. I never imagined being able to run 20-30 miles per week and race competitively again after years of chronic injuries and pain. I wouldn't be in such great condition if it weren't for Dr. Kemenosh!
